TEMAZCAL TENERIFE
INIPI
December 7th
Hello, I’m Esther T. Siverio, a temazcal guide with over 20 years of experience.
Listen to this:
This ceremony is open to everyone seeking clarity in the story they are currently living.
Personally, I treat myself to this purification bath every month, just like a whale goes to where there are certain kind of fishes that clean the lice off its skin.
Even my cat has its cure: it chews certain herbs that help it vomit the hairballs from its stomach.
We all get unnice issues constantly. Getting them rid off it is primordial to get again the balance and be able to handle them out.

Look, there are always one or more reasons to treat yourself to a traditional steam bath like this.
I’ll give you a few examples, but there are many more.
Whether your partner just left you or you’re thinking of leaving them,
whether you don’t get along with your mom or dad,
whether things happened in your childhood that still affect you,
whether you want to leave your job or your relationship with your coworkers isn’t what you expected,
or if you’re simply looking to grow professionally or personally…
Whatever the reason, the inipi is a group ceremony, and everyone brings their own baggage.
Don’t worry. It’s all fine.
Once you’re there, you’ll understand why.
It’s also worth mentioning the healing and unblocking power of the inipi.
When I went for the first time, I had no idea what it was about.
A friend, Anita Gámez, called me and told me that an elder
named Margarita from Mexico was leading a temazcal
(also called an inipi), and she invited me to join.
I asked her what it was, and she didn’t even know.
I arrived a couple of hours early, out of courtesy and to see if I could help with anything.
There she was, a short, elegant, and beautiful 75-year-old woman,
dressed in a colorful loose-fitting outfit with her hair in braids wrapped around her head.
I watched her from afar as she walked around a fire
in front of a structure shaped like an igloo, covered with blankets.
I was too scared to approach, and I didn’t see anyone else going up to her.
It felt as if it was forbidden, though it wasn’t.
The mysterious atmosphere around that structure and the fire gave me a stomachache.
Suddenly, I started to feel cramps.
What did I eat? I wondered.
I spent the time running back and forth to the bathroom,
chatting with other participants between trips. And then they called us to begin the **inipi**.
Just as we were about to enter,
I had to run to the bathroom again, not sure if I’d even be able to participate. With nerves making my hair stand on end,
I ended up being the last person in line. I was terrified.
I knelt to crawl inside the hand-built circular structure.
I ended up sitting right behind the elder Margarita, the guide-shaman.
...(to be continued)
I’ll leave it here for now.
Let’s focus on what you need to do.
I’ll continue the story another time.
For now,

It will be as it needs to be.
Everyone’s journey is different.
Don’t expect a bed of roses. For me,
it was deeply revealing because I was meant for this path.
I’m not saying it will be the same for everyone. But for me,
it was a turning point. The path found me.
For you, it could mean finding healing, revelation, clarity,
inspiration, motivation, support, strength, confidence, faith, and much more…

The experience is unique because it is intimate and focused
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Remember that your intention and feelings are what matter.
Don’t miss out because you’re trying to convince a friend, partner, sibling, etc., who doesn’t feel the same way.
Go on your own.
I’ve seen people sabotage themselves, ignoring their intuition and intentions because someone else wasn’t on the same page.
That’s too much sacrifice, don’t you think?
You won’t be happy like that.
