Nisargadatta Maharaj

Nisargadatta-Maharaj-177.jpg

I met Nisargadata Maharaj teachings in the best moment of my life. He came to me, as it happens with all masters when we ask it to the universe. That day I was listening to an interview to Jacobo Grinberg. As many people don´t know, Jacobo Grinberg practised vipassana - satipatthana meditation that he learned in La India directly with Goenka when he was guiding the retreats there. Later Jacobo Grinberg created his own version that he called Autoalusive meditation which I also practised for a while.

So after hearing Nisargadata´s name, inmediately I started to search information in internet and found some audios.

From the first moment I listened to them, my mood changed. Definitely I had found a treausure.

His wisdom, his teachings, his certainty filtered in me with a profound respect and workship not because he was a guru. But because whatever he was saying was true.

Thanks my dear guru for ever. I feel that you have taken me to an authentic path in which all false conceptions and ideas fell down and heavy loades of ignorance were released.

(extracted from his book I am that)

Let things happen as they happen

They will sort themselves out nicely in the end. You need not strain towards the future. The future will come to you on its own. There are always moments when one feels empty and estranged. But there is nothing to be afraid of. Remember that whatever you come across, go beyond.

All appaearance and disappearance presusupposes a change

A change against some changeless background. Before anything can come into being there must be somebody to whom it comes.

Desires fulfilled, breed more Desires.

If you could keep quiet, clear of memories and expectations, you would be able to discern the beautiful pattern of events. It is your restlessness that causes chaos.

Some seed consciousness must be existing even during sleep or swoon.

On waking up the experience runs: I am - the body- in the world . It may appear in sucession but in fact it is all simultaneous.

What you need will come to you

Do not ask for what you do not need. Yet only few people reach this state of complete dispassion and detachment. It is a very high state, the very threshold of liberation.

Don´t you see that all your problems are your body´s problems?

food, clothing, shelter, family, friends, name, fame, security, survival. All these lose their meaning the moment you realize that you may not be a mere body.

It may be the best I have heard about The Nisargadatta Pointers.
